But that solution does not work on the new ARM-based (M1) MacBooks. There was a rather complicated way to do this, as explained here and I’ve used this successfully for several months. The best is to tell your MacBook to simply stop charging at, say, 80%. With the app, you can set the charging limit on your device and the charging will stop once the limit is. Occasionally pulling the plug introduces needless partial discharge/charge cycles. AlDente is designed to manage your Macbooks charging. One of the future enhancements to Aldente will be to schedule those calibration cycles, but right now it is manual (per Aldentes site).
